    Västtrafik has ordered two new vessels for shuttle service over the river between Rosenlund and Lindholmen. The vessels have capacity for more bikes and will travel faster across the river. The first boat will be entering service in autumn 2014.

    - We see a great need for a fast and smooth shuttle service across the river. To cope with increased travel we need new ferries that are customized for more travelers with bikes, says Jarl Samuelsson, responsible for the boat traffic at Västtrafik.

    Visual Arena, a program within Lindholmen Science Park, has had a successful first year since its opening on 27 March 2012.

    Calculated from April 2012 to March 2013 Visual Arena had a total of 218 bookings by societal actors, companies and universities. Public sector accounts for 121, industry for 58 and academia for 39 of the total reservations.

    On Thursday, Rotary Lindholmen handed out a national scholarship to 22-year-old Calle Aagaard from Gothenburg. The scholarship of SEK 10 000 from Kurt Belfrages memorial fund is meant to prepare young Swedish people with the opportunity to study and network in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

    Together with the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce, Business Region Göteborg and Mi5 Communications, Lindholmen Science Park invites game companies in Gothenburg to the second meeting on how we can strengthen Gothenburg's games industry.

    The first meeting in April worked to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the industry and prospects for a gaming cluster in Gothenburg. Now we continue discussions on how we can develop the network.
