ITS comes to life at the Demo Theatre

The 16th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) took place on 21-25 September 2009. The congress gathered some 5.000 participants from around the world looking to share experiences and build networks. As a decision-maker, manufacturer, supplier or consultant within the private or public sector, it is an opportunity for you to learn more about what ITS can do to improve the efficiency of your operations. What is more, it is an excellent opportunity to show the general public how ITS can help them in their daily lives.
Lindholmen Science Park will participate with its program TSS Test Site Sweden in the Demo Theatre. Five different scenarios will be on display at the theatre, about how ITS-solutions will affect peoples’ lives in the future.
- Secure Transports
The scenario follows an intermodal transport of dangerous goods, focusing on the interplay
between public and private stakeholders when relations and time are important. - Daily Commuter
Follow a daily commuter on a journey to work, and see how ITS-enabled commuter
services for different modes of public transportation and cars will make everyday life
easier. - Cooperative Systems
Imagine if all vehicles and infrastructure could cooperate. Experience the benefits and
find out what stakeholders can do today to make it happen. - Safe and Sustainable Transport Solutions
What if goods could make decisions like humans? Follow how “talking goods” can manage
challenges that appear along the way to their final destination. - Extended E-transactions
This scenario shows an extended concept of electronic transactions beyond e-payments,
including the collection, processing, distribution and presentation of digital
information.
The scenarios have been organised by Lindholmen Science Park, the Swedish Road Administration,
the Volvo Group and NetPort.Karlshamn.
Lindholmen Science Park will also participate in the Swedish Road Administration stand: "The hub of tomorrows transport systems”. Please visit us on stand G20. Read more at the West Sweden web page.
