The Lindholmen Science Park is a cluster of world-leading players in commerce, institutes and academies. We have collected key players in mobile communications, intelligent transports and modern media industries, all with an interest in advanced use of information technology. Together with universities and society, we create greater innovation, international competitiveness and growth for the entire region. Today there are about 150 companies in the region; among the largest are Volvo Car Coorporation, Volvo Technology, Ericsson, IBM and Semcon. University of Gothenburg, Chalmers University of Technology and their joint IT University are also located in the area, where a new campus is developing, Campus Lindholmen. A total of 3000 students, researchers and teachers are already active at Chalmers Campus Lindholmen and the IT University.

The Lindholmen Science Park is a part of the Norra Älvstranden region, where a new district of 60,000 people is evolving.
