    A new research center for software opens at Lindholmen. On February 14 the opening ceremony of the Software Center will be held at the first floor in the building Kuggen. The ceremony is officiated by Karin Markides, vice chancellor of Chalmers University of Technology, and Pam Fredman, vice chancellors of University of Gothenburg.

    Lindholmen conference centre is back up and running after Tuesday's incident when a crane fell over the conference hall at Lindholmen. Since only the big conference hall was effected the rest of the conference is open as usual with seating for up to 150 people.

    At Tuesday morning a construction crane fell over the roof of the conference centre at Lindholmen Science Park. No people were injured and only the large conference hall was affected. The construction crane belongs to Skanska's hotel construction site at Lindholmen, according to Skanska the cause of the accident still is unknown.

    Solceller på taketProperty owner Älvstranden Utveckling has installed solar cells on top of the Lindholmen Science Park main building. It is a pilot project with a vision that more properties at Lindholmen will produce their own electricity in the future.
