EU Minister Cecilia Malmström is Sweden's new European Commissioner. Fredrik Reinfeldt announced this at a press conference in Rosenbad on Tuesday afternoon. The week before she was at Lindholmen.

On 10 November, Gothenburg hosted a two-day EU meeting on the Lisbon Treaty. A study was made at Lindholmen Science Park, where 160 high-ranking politicians from the EU listened to the CEO Niklas Wahlberg, who presented the area and visions for the future. The visit was part of the Swedish EU Presidency.
