New visitors’ car park at Lindholmspiren - ready by the end of June

Work commenced in the spring on an access road and visitors’ car park at Lindholmen Science Park. It will be completed and available for use by the end of June. A large cycle park is also included, and it forms a natural pick up/drop off point for taxis and Lindholmen's electric car pool.

Smart grids puts Lindholmen on the world map

The next large IEEE conference on intelligent power grids, Smart Grids, will be held at the new Lindholmen Conference Centre on 11-13 October. It will be hosted by Chalmers, and the objective is to achieve closer cooperation between Europe and North America.
- My vision, with this meeting, is to form a bridge between Europe and North America, as well as between various interested parties, politicians, authorities, industry, the university and students, says Lina Bertling, Professor in Sustainable Electric Power Systems at Chalmers.
The conference was last held in Washington when some 700 delegates from research institutions and industry took part.

Cms Group moves to Lindholmspiren 5

This week the CMS Group will open a car service centre at Lindholmen. Leave your car in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon fully serviced; summer tyre changes, routine services, paint repairs etc.

BAK.DELEN, café and catering, opened its doors in May at Götaverksgatan 1, under the same roof as Kooperativet. They can provide you with smörrebröd (sandwiches), biscuits, breakfast bags, rolls, pastries and ice cream. Cakes, smörgåstårta (savoury sandwich cake) and buffets are also available on order.

Emissionless driving - apply to Lindholmen's electric car pool

When the electric car pool went through its pilot phase in 2009, the decision was made to make it a permanent feature. Both private individuals and companies can now rent electric cars when they wish to smoothly and cleanly drive from Lindholmen to other parts of town. A car costs 79 SEK an hour - with no opening, booking or kilometre charges.

Get there quick using Lindholmen's cycle pool 

Does your company have a cycle card? For 200 SEK a year, you can borrow cycles from any of the cycle racks at Lindholmen. They are located in several places, one of which is outside Lindholmspiren. Push in your card and pull out a bike; return it within four hours by parking it in the nearest rack; it's as easy as that. You also travel for free on the Älvsnabben and Älvsnabbare ferries when you have a Lindholmen cycle with you on the ferry.
