The Swedish Testing and Research Institute (SP), the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) and the Viktoria Institute are established at Lindholmen and actively participate in the many research and development projects conducted at Lindholmen Science Park.
SP - Swedish Testing and Research Institute
The Swedish Testing and Research Institute (SP) is involved, among other things, in the Safer automotive and traffic safety centre and in projects under Test Site Sweden, a national programme at Lindholmen Science Park. SP has international leading-edge expertise in disciplines including surface chemistry, fire technology, wood and measuring technology, and is a national leader in fields such as energy efficiency and environmental technology. The Institute also acts as a bridge between university research and industry in several technological fields. SP is owned by the Swedish government through the Swedish Ministry of Industry, Employment and Communication.
VTI - Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute
The Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) has been established at Lindholmen for several years. VTI is closely involved in the projects and development of the Safer automotive and traffic safety centre and Safety Arena. VTI will build a globally unique driving simulator at Lindholmen in 2011.
Viktoria Institute - Non-profit IT research
The Viktoria Institute is a research institute founded in 1997 at the initiative of the local industry in western Sweden. The institute focuses on research, development and training in applied information technology in collaboration with industry, academia and the public sector. The Viktoria Institute is establisched at Lindholmen. Among other things, it is involved in projects in Security Arena.
