Lighthouse Ergo Ship thematic day seminar

The third annual Ergo Ship thematic seminar takes place on September 22nd and will focus on the following issues: 
Ship machinery systems are becoming increasingly complex, and so are the systems intended to assist machinery operators in control and monitoring of their function. At the same time there is an increasing focus on various performance aspects, such as fuel consumption and emissions to the environment, which adds to the burden of the machinery operator. Against this background there is a need for analysis and development of Engine Rooms and Engine Control Rooms from a sociotechnical systems perspective. The topic involves a variety of research aspects and knowledge disciplines including occupational medicine, environmental systems, naval architecture, etc.
