Community involvement

Lindholmen Science Park AB operates on a non-profit basis with the vision of strengthening Sweden’s competitiveness. It provides space and an environment for new networks, new expertise, and new opportunities for development and growth.

Innovative Development

We aim to be an actor that contributes to the long-term development of society. Diversity is a key driver of innovation, and by valuing our differences, we collectively help develop and prepare Sweden for the future. We do this by leading research and innovation programs in collaboration, and we are also engaged in other projects that create opportunities for people who might not otherwise have had the same conditions.

Over the years, we have actively supported a number of initiatives. You can read more about them below, and hopefully they will inspire you and your organization to explore new collaborations.

Arbetskamraterna

Having a workplace and earning a salary just like everyone else in society means a great deal. Since 2022, Alexander Petterson has been working with us as a Mood Manager, contributing to a more positive and joyful work environment. He has taken on many tasks and activities, including work in the restaurant, reception, state visits, Lindholmen Open Day, the recording studio, Visual Arena, and AI Sweden.

If your organization is considering offering a job or an internship to someone with an intellectual disability, you can become a member of the non-profit organization Arbetskamraterna.

Jobbsprånget

Jobbsprånget is Sweden’s largest internship program for newly arrived academics. Since 2020, Lindholmen Science Park AB has welcomed interns in both production and communication. It is an excellent opportunity for us to identify future colleagues who are new to Sweden, while also giving them their first experience of working life in the country.

CareConnectWithUkraine

Lindholmen Science Park ran the project from 2022 to 2023 in close collaboration with several partners, with a focus on supporting Ukrainian job seekers in entering the Swedish labour market as quickly as possible. The team organized several job fairs that helped different sectors find skilled talent. In total, 550 participants and 50 companies were engaged, with more than 100 people starting new jobs. Thanks to funding from the European Social Fund, the project was able to scale up, and in September 2023, it was granted renewed support.

Öppet Hus

Lindholmen Science Park collaborates with Öppet Hus, a non-profit organization that is politically and religiously independent and operates in Gothenburg. The organization’s mission is to open doors to working life for young adults with a foreign background, for example through free mentorship programs. Through this collaboration, several mentees have been matched with established mentors at Lindholmen Science Park AB, where we have been able to provide support through networks and contacts.
