Learnings about automated solutions for heavy truck transport from the Swedish use case in the MODI project

-
Hybrid: Lindholmen Science Park & Online
Arranged by:
MODI & Lindholmen Science Park

Welcome to take part of learnings from the Swedish use case in the EU-project MODI, which has tested several automated solutions for heavy truck transport between ports and logistics hubs. A wide array of tests have been performed on, for example, automated gate access, advanced ADAS solutions for lane merging on highways, automous logistics operations and loading.

En lastbil från Volvo och en från Einride under tester inom det svenska use caset i MODI.

The overall objective of MODI is to accelerate the introduction of connected, cooperative and automated mobility (CCAM) vehicles for logistics by demonstrations and to overcome barriers for the roll-out of automated transport systems and solutions in logistics. MODI focuses on the interaction between vehicles and logistics processes, traffic safety, security, optimal utilisation of infrastructure capacity and environment, and recommendations for the optimal design or adaptions of infrastructure.

The Swedish use case has focused on hub-to-hub traffic with heavy-duty CCAM vehicles, with several demonstrations with technologies that can improve traffic safety and logistics efficiency while driving the development for the next generation transport system. Read more about MODI here!

During this final conference for the Swedish use case, the Swedish project partners show the demonstrations, results and learnings, along with a film that highlights every part of the use case.

The event will be held at Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg, but can also be followed online.
