"Kommissarie Winter" is not an exception. Göteborg will be featured a lot more in films and TV in the future. Many in the branch think so anyway because of a substantial investment in a united film cluster. The town's largest filming equipment rental companies are now gathering their resources under one roof at Lindholmen.
LiteGrip and Camera Center have chosen to meet future challenges jointly. Equipment and competence which up till now has been spread between the south and north sides of town will now be available at Camera Center at Lindholmen, where the majority of film companies are already located under the joint name of Gothenburg Film Studios.
"This makes it easier still for film producers to choose Göteborg as a filming location. We can now offer a wider range of digital and video equipment, provide better service and quicker delivery. And we are convinced that this is a good move to make just now when the film industry in Göteborg is in an expansive phase," says Paul Blomgren, CEO at Camera Center and Gothenburg Film Studios.
Gothenburg Film Studios at Lindholmen involves more than 20 local companies within the film industry and can provide everything that is needed for filming. Film producers can rent film studios, equipment, vehicles, office space, costumes and much more, as well as buy services for, among other things, processing film and sound, digital effects, production of props and pyro technics.
Camera Center/Light Center is a professional rental service for digital film and video equipment as well as lighting, grips and vehicles. The company can deliver complete equipment packages for the film industry.
