New CEO at Lindholmen Science Park AB

Tuesday, August 14, 2018

Lindholmen Science Park’s new CEO, Tord Hermansson, will take office on October 1. “I am proud of and enthusiastic about this new opportunity, and I am looking forward to working to strengthen the power of Swedish innovation.”

Tord Hermansson comes to Lindholmen from Volvo Cars, where he is leaving his role as head of the company’s external research partnerships, a role that included maintaining the company’s contacts with academia, government agencies and public funding. Tord has also been involved in several programs and projects being run at Lindholmen Science Park, such as Drive Sweden and SAFER.

“The scope of the business operations, with a focus on the mobility of tomorrow and with important initiatives in AI, ICT and media, is incredibly exciting. I am looking forward to taking the next step together with employees who have broad and in-depth expertise, in addition to getting to work in one of Sweden’s most knowledge-intensive and expansive fields,” says Tord Hermansson.

“We are delighted to have recruited Tord to the post of CEO,” says Anna Nilsson-Ehle, chairman of Lindholmen Science Park AB. “We are convinced that Tord’s background, experience and extensive network will promote the continued positive development of Lindholmen Science Park,” she concludes.

Tord Hermansson succeeds Niklas Wahlberg, who moved to the Volvo Group this past spring. Maria Hedlund has served as acting CEO since May and will step down on October 1.
