"There is no better place in Sweden for an initiative like this," says Fredrik Dahlgren, Event Manager for Gothenburg Classic Car Weekend. "Our vision is to establish a world-leading meeting place for the automotive industry. Lindholmen is already a center for future mobility and is constantly evolving as a district and visitor destination. At the same time, it has a strong historical connection to the automotive, aviation, and maritime industries, a story that deserves to be told."

During the festival weekend, hangars and outdoor areas will be filled with approximately 600 unique vehicles, ranging from classic cars to the latest technological innovations. Together with partners, the festival will offer a vibrant environment with exhibitions, experiences, and networking opportunities.

The event is also supported by Gothenburg’s business and urban development sectors:

"At Älvstranden Utveckling, we are proud to be part of this initiative. It strengthens Lindholmen as an attractive meeting place, creates energy, and attracts more visitors to the area," says Martin Nilbo, Leasing Team Leader at Älvstranden Utveckling AB.

"Gothenburg is a fantastic event city, and the automotive industry is one of the region’s largest employers. A festival and meeting place like this feels like a natural fit," says Magnus Hallberg, Event Manager at Göteborg & Co.

The positive mindset and willingness to collaborate in Gothenburg have been crucial in making this initiative a reality.

"We look forward to creating the 'Way Out West' of the automotive industry in Gothenburg," concludes Fredrik Dahlgren.
