Sweden's first truly large-scale generative language model

The first large-scale, generative language model for Nordic languages and primarily Swedish is now being developed at AI Sweden, Sweden's national center for applied artificial intelligence, where Lindholmen Science Park is the host organization. Based on the same technical principles as GPT-3, which is behind the highly regarded ChatGPT, GPT-SW3 will help Swedish organizations build language applications that have never been possible before.

- Our model is in the same area as ChatGPT and consists of a number of language models for Swedish. We have worked with it from the bottom up and it gives us a control and transparency that we don't have with ChatGPT, says Daniel Gillblad at AI Sweden in an interview with Dagens Industri.
