“Building cranes are positive for the area,” was one of the final remarks made by the speakers on the panel. “It represents development and new opportunities!”

The speakers were able to highlight the positive aspects of Lindholmen Science Park currently having a strong and positive attraction and they expressed their strategic eagerness and aim to be involved in the continued development.

The speakers shared the visions for their individual building projects; when they are launched and when they are scheduled for completion and they also highlighted the high environmental and sustainability ambitions for the building processes and also for choices of material.

Ola Serneke underlined the positive aspect for Lindholmen in the shape of the development of more housing units and a wider range of services.
“A city that is alive around the clock requires a mix of different types of housing, ages, care, community properties and offices. It must also be appealing; Lindholmen Science Park is attractive but we want to add more. Everyone should benefit from the fact that we are doing something good together.” 

Björn Siesjö talked about the exciting development awaiting the entire Greater Gothenburg area in the next two years and emphasized the value of having an aim of contributing to all inhabitants of Gothenburg, new and “old.”

Wake Up Lindholmen is organized by Lindholmen Science Park, Norra Älvstranden’s business association and Älvstranden Utveckling. The seminar is open for everyone who works, studies and lives at Lindholmen.

Ongoing and planned property projects at Lindholmen Science Park

Eklandia has commenced construction of an office property of approximately 9,000 square meters directly adjacent to the main building at Lindholmen Science Park. Occupancy will occur in January 2017.

Skanska has commenced construction and development of an approximately 7,500 square-meter office building, adjacent to the Radisson Blu Riverside Hotel at Lindholmen. Occupancy is scheduled for spring 2017.

Älvstranden Utveckling is leading a consortium comprising Peab, HSB and Skanska, which is to build a new housing block at Lindholmshamnen comprising 450 apartments and about 3,000 square meters of business premises.

The Serneke Group will be constructing a 266-meter-high skyscraper. The project includes a total land area of about 32,000 square meters, which will comprise approximately 15 blocks with housing units, offices, retail, care and service facilities.

Husvärden AB is to construct the “Brotomten” building with construction starting no later than the second quarter of 2016 and new construction scheduled for
