Swedish municipalities see great opportunities with AI but struggle with how to achieve value creation in practice. A new interview study conducted by AI Sweden in collaboration with the University of Gothenburg shows that the success of municipalities' AI usage is determined by leadership and collaboration.

At the Gothenburg Film Festival, over 700 people were given the opportunity to step into a virtual reality to experience the effects of climate change on Svalbard. This activity was carried out as part of the project Expanderad Refotografi. Welcome to take part of learnings from the Swedish use case in the EU-project MODI, which has tested several automated solutions for heavy truck transport between ports and logistics hubs. A wide array of tests have been performed on, for example, automated gate access, advanced ADAS solutions for lane merging on highways, automous logistics operations and loading.

The installation of three megawatt chargers (MCS chargers) at strategic locations opens the door for electrified long-haul heavy-duty truck transport. Following successful tests of the new charging technology, several partners within the E-Charge project now plan to put the technology to the test in commercial logistics flows.

On September 25th, the Lindholmen Innovation District was transformed into a buzzing meeting place during the annual Lindholmen Open Day. The event attracted hundreds of visitors—tech and automotive industry professionals, students, and curious locals from Gothenburg—and offered an intense day filled with optimism about the future.
