Workshop on Software Ecosystems
Software ecosystems are commonly defined as
“A set of businesses functioning as a unit and interacting with a shared market for software and services, together with relationships among them. These relationships are frequently underpinned by a common technological platform and operate through the exchange of information, resources, and artifacts.”
Today’s complex software systems, which are often developed collaboratively by more than one organization, frequently imply the presence of a software ecosystem. In this workshop we want to explore consequences this recent development has on software engineering practice.
