European Citiverses Uniting for Inclusiveness
Scalable Model for Urban Inclusivity
The European Citiverses Uniting for Inclusiveness project (CU Project) represents a transformative leap in urban digital innovation, offering an inclusive, accessible digital twin tailored to the needs of the broad diversity of citizens and visitors - no matter age or abilities.
By integrating state-of-the-art technology with user-centric and universal design, this initiative sets a new benchmark for smart, sustainable urban development in line with the EU's digital strategy. Our collaborative approach, combining expertise across sectors, promises to deliver a scalable, replicable model that enhances quality of life and drives digital inclusivity across Europe.
Lowering Thresholds to City Visits
The physical city is not accessible to everyone. Many families have to consider the special needs of certain family members, such as physical barriers, mental challenges, age-related issues, social phobias, language comprehension and anxiety.
An accessible Local Digital Twin as a tool, would make it possible for individuals (= visitors) to plan, create strategies, practice a visit and experience the city from one's own device. By offering this service the Local Digital Twin will lower the thresholds for physical visits and create opportunities for participation in the city, even if you are physically unable to make it to the Theme Park, the Concert, or the Gothenburg Horse Show...
This initiative not only promises to transform the city of Gothenburg, Sweden, which serves as the pilot city for this initiative, but also aims to serve as a model for digital inclusivity and sustainability in urban Europe, aligning with the EU's commitment to its citizens and setting a precedent for future urban development.
