Sustainability = Inclusion

Today’s more diverse workplaces and society put a new challenge to cooperation and communication. Differences can enrich but also lead to miscommunication and exclusion. For this we need Diversity Competence. Using inclusive language is a great technique to create interaction and a communication beyond usual simplifications and prejudice. Inclusive language highlights unconscious bias and helps us welcome everyone to participate on equal terms. This workshop is perfect for you who want to learn how to create a productive environment in which everybody can contribute with their full potential.

In this workshop we will explore:

• What inclusion is and why we exclude others.
• What “othering” is and how can we stop it.
• What Inclusive language is and how to communicate to empower yourself and others.
• Just lecturing is not enough to unleash human competence. So, expect interactive exercises where you can start to put inclusive language in practice.
