Friday, September 22, 2023

Eva Essvik, Head of Business Collaborations, Partnerships, and Digital Innovation at GöteborgsOperan, was awarded Collaborator of the Year 2023. The award is presented annually by Lindholmen Science Park during the Lindholmen Open Day event, held this year on September 20th.

“This is the finest nomination and award I have ever received, and representing GöteborgsOperan in this context feels fantastic,” says Eva Essvik.

The jury's motivation reads: Eva has a burning passion for culture, digitalization, and collaboration. In partnership with the innovation programs Visual Arena and Xperience Next at Lindholmen Science Park, Eva has explored and prototyped the future of digital performing arts. Eva's positive energy is infectious, and companies flock to be where Eva is. Simply put, she's a star!

“We want the heritage we manage to reach many more people. To do that, we need to broaden our perspective and see how we can reach different target audiences. This doesn't mean everything should be streamed, but rather that people should take notice of performing arts and the Opera so that we can attract them to discover this sense of community that performing arts entail.”

The Collaborator of the Year award was presented for the fifth time this year. A jury headed by Lindholmen Science Park and consisting of partner representatives, selects three finalists, including the winner. It should be an individual or a group that has openly and enthusiastically created conditions for successful collaborations related to one of Lindholmen Science Park's programs or organizations operating in the Lindholmen area.

Other finalists in 2023 were Martin Gow from SiNIX Group, with the motivation: Martin has continuously contributed to collaboration and networking at Lindholmen since he established himself on the Uni3 campus. He is tirelessly positive and practices leadership by lifting up and supporting his colleagues and customers. The motto 'Pay it forward' has never been more fitting!

...and Elisabeth Hörnfeldt from Scania: Elisabeth is a project manager with exceptional abilities to collaborate and provide space for creativity, learning, and new networks. In the Sustainable Integrated Transport Systems (HITS) project, she has systematically worked on building trust among collaborators through inclusion and clear communication. Elisabeth is making the HITS project a real HIT!

This year, an honorary award was also presented to Glenn Evans at Älvrummet, with the motivation: Since Lindholmen Science Park's inception over 20 years ago, Glenn has been a key ambassador in our ecosystem. With a steady hand, he has guided everyone: students, CEOs, children's groups, retirees, and foreign delegations. His voice is powerful, his favorite word is "dynamic," and his stories are inspiring!
