Continued growth for Lindholmen Science Park

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Lindholmen Science Park’s growth continues, despite the credit crunch and automotive crisis in 2009. The number of companies has increased from 188 to 230 in a year, and there are currently 16,800 employees and students – 600 more than in the same period in 2008.

Despite a tougher financial climate, Lindholmen Science Park in Göteborg continues to grow. There are currently 230 companies on the premises, 42 more than in the same period last year. Over 9,450 people work in companies and organisations at Lindholmen Science Park today.

- It’s very satisfying to see continued growth despite the turbulent times. It intensifies Lindholmen Science Park’s know-how and promotes our development. We see this as proof that our companies appreciate the added value offered by Lindholmen Science Park, where close access to a strong, concentrated cluster is important to their future development, says Niklas Wahlberg, CEO of Lindholmen Science Park.

Lindholmen Science Park’s continued expansion will provide room for more companies in need of growth space. The expansion will also allow further development of Lindholmen Science Park's research and development environments. The new premises will be ready for use in autumn 2010.
