Polestar has grown significantly in recent years and the long-term goal is to double the number of employees in Gothenburg. The continued establishment in the city is therefore an important part of Polestar's long-term global expansion, which also includes plans to launch several new car models in the coming years.

''Just like Polestar, Gothenburg has a clear focus and a leading international role in the automotive industry of the future with a focus on more sustainable, electric and connected vehicles. We look forward to developing a modern and attractive workplace in the middle of the city centre'', says Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar.

The City of Gothenburg and Polestar have signed a joint letter of intent, and the City of Gothenburg has today directly assigned land to the company for a new building next to the bridge abutment closest to the Hisings Bridge, with a final total area of approximately 80,000 square meters.
